About

My name is Bliss.

Or, rather, that's the pseudonym I go by online.

I was not born with that name, but that is what you will call me here.

I quite like the name because it means joy, which is something that I work to incorporate into my life despite my various psychiatric diagnoses. It's difficult at times, but it's nice to have a built-in reminder of sorts. Funnily enough, I didn't choose the name for the above reasons, but instead in homage to the default Windows XP wallpaper. Two very different reasons, I know, but I feel as if that dichotomy in and of itself is an apt representation of myself as a whole.

I have plenty of interesting ways in which I define myself. Perhaps not define, but adorn like pins or patches. Some of them get shuffled around, some of them fall off, and sometimes I attach new ones. They all vary in sizes and shapes, but I wear them all nonetheless.

Here are some of the flags I use/identify with:

One of, if not the most important thing about me, is that I am an artist in every sense of the word. I create, I inspire, I am created, I am inspired, I am art, and then some. I could not live without making things. It is the backbone of my entire being. Even as a child, I knew that much was true.

That being said, I also enjoy relaxing and playing silly mobile games or getting my brain powerwashed by stupid videos on the internet. I do a little witchcraft from time to time, too. As a treat! :) Some other things I like include Homestuck, TF2, Pokemon, webcore, tornadoes/stormchasing, furries, psychology, philosophy, *antiques, and **disasters.

*In particular, I like dangerous antiques (old medicine, radioactive stuff, generally things containing stuff that we know nowadays to be dangerous/poisonous). I also like old maps and, specifically, old globes! Determining the date they were made based on geopolitical boundaries and whatnot is genuinely so much fun. Always and forever trying to beat my record for my oldest globe found in the wild (1914!!! Over a century old! She's a beauty!)

**It should go without saying that I don't like it when disasters happen. I'm interested in what leads up to them happening. Nuclear incidents, train derailments, bridge collapses, weather phenomenon, and unethical experiments are just a few examples of some of the stuff I'd be interested in learning the history behind.

There's plenty more to know about me, but I feel as if I've said enough. At least for now! I'm sure you'll learn a thing or two in some of my blog posts.

Thanks for stopping by!
